Vishvas News in its investigation has found that the viral statement regarding madrasas named after APJ Abdul Kalam is fake.

New Delhi (Vishvas News)- A newspaper clipping is going viral on social media in which a picture of former Indian President and scientist APJ Abdul Kalam has been taken along with a statement quoting him. In the viral clip, APJ Abdul Kalam is said to have said about Muslims, “Muslims are not born terrorists, rather they are educated in madrassas and it is very important to ban all madrassas in India.”

When Vishvas News investigated this statement, we found that APJ Abdul Kalam never gave such a statement. This is a false statement being circulated in his name.

What’s in the viral post?

Instagram user akhand_bharat_modi_2 shared a clipping that looks like a newspaper in which, along with Kalam’s photo, he wrote, “Muslims are not born terrorists. In madrassas they are taught the Koran, according to which they selectively kill Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs, Christians, Jews and other non-Muslims. To control terrorism, it is very important to ban thousands of madrassas operating in India: Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.
