Earthquake tremors were felt on the border of South Sudan and Uganda. The European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) said a magnitude 4.9 earthquake struck near the border between South Sudan and Uganda on Monday. This earthquake was at a depth of 8 km (6.21 mi). However, no information about any casualty has been received yet.
In fact, EMSC said that on Monday an earthquake of 4.9 magnitude occurred in the area around the border between South Sudan and Uganda. As soon as people felt the tremors of the earthquake, they came out of their homes. Crowds of people gathered on the streets.
4.9 magnitude earthquake in Tajikistan
According to media reports, earlier on Monday evening an earthquake of 4.9 magnitude occurred in Tajikistan. This information was shared by the National Center for Seismology (NCS). It was told that the earthquake was felt around 5:46 pm and came at a depth of 194 km.
