Congress rebel Ashok Gehlot’s special former Jodhpur Mayor Rameshwar Dadhich joined BJP on Thursday. BJP’s Rajasthan election in-charge Prahlad Joshi gave membership to Dadhich. National Minister election co-incharge Vijaya Rahatkar, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Rajendra Gehlot, Jodhpur District President Devendra Salecha were present.
Rameshwar Dadhich was seeking ticket from Congress from Sursagar seat. The party declared Shehzad Khan as its candidate. After this Dadhich had sounded the bugle of rebellion. He filed his nomination as an independent candidate in the election and withdrew his nomination on Thursday morning. However, there was talk of Dadhich joining BJP since the day of the rebellion.
BJP sent a charter plane to bring Rameshwar Dadhich from Jodhpur to Jaipur. Dadhich reached Jaipur along with Vijaya Rahatkar, Devendra Salecha, Rajendra Gehlot by charter plane at around 7 pm on Thursday evening. After this, Union Minister from Dadhich Gajendra Singh Shekhawat welcomed him with a hug at the BJP office in Jaipur.
