The weather patterns changed in Rajasthan just before Diwali. Many areas of the state, which were suffering from the heat till now, received rain late at night and early in the morning, due to which the temperature dropped and there was a huge decline in the level of pollution in the environment. According to the Meteorological Department, due to the effect of western disturbance, light rain with thunder has been recorded at some places in Jodhpur, Bikaner, Jaipur and Bharatpur divisions in the last 24 hours.

Maximum rainfall of 6 mm has been recorded in Nokha, Bikaner of Western Rajasthan and 2 mm of rainfall has been recorded in Mahwa, Dausa of Eastern Rajasthan. Today, light rain is expected in Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Churu, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Alwar, Bharatpur Dholpur districts and dry weather is expected in most of the remaining parts. The weather will remain dry in the state from tomorrow 11th November for the next one week. There is a strong possibility of a drop of 3-5 degrees Celsius in the minimum temperature in the next 48 hours.

For the last one week, there has been smog in the state due to pollution. People were having trouble breathing due to environmental pollution. People were complaining of burning sensation in the eyes. Apart from this, respiratory patients also remained very worried. Experts had advised wearing masks for protection. There has been a huge drop in AQI due to sudden rain.
