Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij made a tweet regarding Diwali, in which he questioned the people that Diwali is celebrated on the arrival of Shri Ram to Ayodhya, then why do people bring only the idol of Lakshmi ji home on Diwali. Why is the statue of Shri Ram not visible anywhere?
It is said about India that this country is a country of festivals and beliefs. Here every festival is celebrated with great love and rituals. One such festival is Diwali. Today the holy festival of Diwali is being celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm. While all the politicians wished all the countrymen on the festival of Diwali, on the other hand Haryana Home Minister Aniv Vij raised a question.
What did Vij say?
Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij made a post on the social media site Why is the idol of Shri Ram not seen in every shop on Diwali? He wrote – ‘One thing I don’t understand is that people celebrate Diwali because of Shri Ram ji’s return to Ayodhya after 14 years, but they worship Lakshmi ji. Even in the market, the idol of Lakshmi ji is available in every shop but the idol of Ram ji is available in some shops. The question arises as to why this is so. If Lord Ram becomes happy then everything else comes automatically.
Why is Lakshmi Puja done?
In such a situation, the question arises that why Lakshmi Puja is performed during Diwali. When Lord Ram returned to Ayodhya after killing Ravana, his arrival was celebrated as Diwali. But, on this day Goddess Lakshmi is worshipped.
There are many stories behind the worship of Goddess Lakshmi on Diwali. In such a situation, it cannot be said clearly what is the reason behind this. But, all these stories point to the same thing that Diwali is a festival of prosperity, light and enthusiasm. Lakshmi is also seen as a symbol of prosperity and prosperity arrives from this day. Therefore, Lakshmi is worshiped on this day, no matter what the story behind it is.
